For Antoinette, the great outdoors has always been a source of profound peace. Her great-grandmother, Jettie Ruth, played a pivotal role in her upbringing, and their deepest connections were forged in the heart of nature. Whether it was stargazing on the front porch, tending to the clothesline, picking figs from the towering fig tree, journeying the dirt roads to deliver food to her great-great-uncle, or sharing moments while snapping peas, the natural world always radiated an overwhelming sense of peace. Jettie embodied every grain of that tranquility.
